CRiS Register
CRiS is the National Register of UK touring caravan keepers, similar to the DVLA. Registration is also recognised by regulatory bodies, insurance companies and government organisations such as the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and the Department for Transport (DFT).
Why is CRiS Registration essential for caravan keepers?
- Proves you are the registered keeper
- Links a caravan’s unique 17-digit VIN to a CRiS keeper record
- Assists the police and enforcement
- VIN CHIP™, the new industry standard in touring caravan identification, uses a caravan’s unique VIN within both visible and
- invisible caravan VIN CHIP™ Elements
- Many insurance companies require CRiS registration before processing a claim
- Helps manufacturer product recalls and warranty
VIN CHIP™ has 3 key elements that make it so effective for CRiS registration

Highly Visible Tamper Evident Security Labels
Tamper-proof labels contain the unique VIN and demonstrate your property is chipped to detect would-be thieves.
Electronic RFID Chips
Hide the RFID chips inside your caravan, making it even more secure and straightforward for police to detect and identify your property.
Scannable QR codes
Stickers on the window and inside the gas bottle locker help establish the caravan owner’s true identity with a simple QR scan.
