Motorhome manufacturers

Adria
Slovenia-based Adria produced its first motorhome in 1965. Subsequently, French company Trigano became the majority owner, consequently helping Trigano become one of Europe’s largest recreational vehicle companies.
Currently, over 99% of Adria’s Mercedes-powered motorhomes are exported, and many are sold in the UK. Adria enjoys a reputation for reliable, durable, well-designed motorhomes that offer excellent value for money. The range comprises five models and several layouts. 2023 saw the flagship Supersonic win the 2023 German Design Awards.

Bailey
Bailey is one of the UK’s longest-established leisure manufacturers. The company works to a simple principle for motorhome production: high specifications, superb value for money, and no hidden extras.
Bailey offers 15 models across the Adamo, Autograph, Alora and Endeavour ranges. However, the Endeavour is based on the trustworthy Ford panel van, compared to the coach-built models. Customers can choose from 2, 4 or 6-seater options and 2, 4 or 6 berths.

Bürstner
Bürstner built its first motorhome just over 60 years ago. Subsequently, the company joined the Hymer AG group, which also owns Eldis motorhomes. Bürstner’s approach is to create motorhomes with a home-from-home feeling. Bürstner thinks of itself as less of a motorhome manufacturer and more of a designer of unique living spaces.
The range starts with the Nexxo Van Active low-profile motorhome and finishes with the top-of-the-range Lyseo Gallery TD Harmony. Each model has a detailed configurator to help customers personalise layout, configuration and interior fit and finish.

Dethleffs
Proudly German, Dethleffs is one of the world’s most traditional leisure vehicle manufacturers. It all started in 1931 with the creation of Germany’s first camper car. After being bought by Hymer AG, Dethleffs still manufactures motorhomes in a facility in the Alpine foothills.
The Dethleffs company motto is “The whole family is our main concern, regardless of size.” Furthermore, 7,000 urban campers and motorhomes roll off the Dethleffs production line yearly. As a result, there are 12 ranges to choose from. These start with the Yoka Go and end with the extraordinarily spacious Globetrotter XXL A, with a built-in bathroom and a standing shower.

Elddis
Elddis is built in County Durham alongside Buccaneer caravans and is owned by the European side of the mighty Erwin Group. The company has been making caravans and motorhomes for over 50 years and is the county’s largest employer.
Elddis motorhomes benefit from the SOLiD unique fully-bonded construction method that results in 95% fewer exterior screws, a lighter, more fuel-efficient vehicle, and an impenetrable water barrier. The 13 models in the Elddis range provide 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 berth options.

Hobby
Hobby motorhomes are manufactured in Fockbeck, northern Germany, where an impressive 15,000 vehicles roll off the production line annually. The company enjoys a strong reputation for excellent build quality, and Hobby motorhomes are built to last.
The “HOBBYKOMPLETT” package comes with every vehicle, providing many standard items that are extra on other motorhomes. As a result, HOBBYCONNECT is standard on newer models, linking your phone with apps to control and monitor onboard systems.

Hymer
No other brand is as synonymous with motorhomes, and since 1961, the German-built HYMER has retained a reputation for bulletproof construction and longevity. The company manufactured its 100,000th motorhome by 2001 and while other manufacturers closed the quality gap, HYMER remains a premium vehicle with excellent resale values.
HYMER offers more than 20 models, starting with the FIAT-based HYMER Free campervan and running up to the Mercedes B-Class MasterLine. In addition, the dedicated off-roader HYMER Venture S is perfect for desert and wilderness exploration.

Swift
Swift is Europe’s largest motorhome brand and manufactures motorhomes in East Yorkshire. The company offers a 10-year warranty on all coach-built motorhomes, and each model includes aerodynamic exteriors, low-energy LED lighting, dual-fuel systems and onboard water tanks.
Four ranges encompass 21 models with 2-4 berth and 4-6 berth options. The range starts with the single-axle Swift Voyager and ends with the multi-award-winning twin-axle Swift Kon-Tiki. Three roof profiles are available: low-line, over-cab pod, and high-line.
